The SKAN HOLZ snow load extension consists of additional rafters that you mount between the existing roof rafters. This reduces the rafter spacing of the carport and increases the overall load-bearing capacity. The number and size of the rafters varies depending on the carport. The snow load increase raises the snow load of the carport to 2.0 kN/m².This snow load increase contains 6 additional rafters and is suitable for the following models:Emsland carport 609 (613) x 846 cmWendland carport 630 x 879 cmSpessart carport 611 x 846 cmUntreated in colourNote:The snow load cannot be retrofitted to the carports. Please check the snow load limit required in your residential area before assembly.ConstructionThe construction is made of glued laminate timber, consisting of several dried layers, attached to one another with finger-jointing. They are glued onto one another for weather-resistance. This results in a load-bearing beam which is more resistant to warping and less prone to fissures than naturally grown wood.Color treatmentThis building kit is not treated with color. Wood in outdoor areas is constantly exposed to the elements, such as fungus and insect infestations. Regular application of protective coatings is thus essential. Primer should be applied to all sides prior to assembly. First apply wood primer to protect against fungus and insects. Then apply an intermediate and a finishing coat of premium wood varnish or paint to protect against color change and damage. Calculate service intervals of about 4-5 years, prior to the appearance of visible damage. Follow the processing guidelines of the varnish manufacturer.Snow load increase to sk=2.00 kN/m²Glued laminated timber, untreated in colourSuitable for Emsland carport 609 (613) x 846 cmSuitable for Wendland carport 630 x 879 cmSuitable for carport Spessart 611 x 846 cm

Storeroom of profiled siding material (for installation under a SKAN HOLZ carport)Profiled siding consists of loose tongued and grooved timber in 20 mm thickness, which is attached to one another and mounted between the posts.Product featuresWidth: 573 cmDepth: 317 cmHeight: 200 cmdoor (door clear opening 94 x 190 cm)Thickness: 20 mmpost including H-post anchorposts marked with red are available for carportsCustomer can easily adapt when installing into a carport with narrow passage widthMaterial: spruceGreen impregnatedConstructionThe construction is made of impregnated softwood. Spruce and pine wood, which is not technically-dried, acquires its greenish color from metal salts released by the impregnating agent. They protect wood against fungus and insect infestations, but do not contain UV protection. Impregnation gives wood higher residual moisture. Subsequent drying can lead to release of resin, twisting and formation of drying cracks, which pose no static disadvantage and rather reflect the natural materials used.Color treatmentWater-based impregnation protects the wooden components of this building kit from fungus and insect infestations. The building kit can be assembled immediately upon delivery. The wooden surface should be further treated no sooner than 2-3 sunny months later, after the excess impregnation has dried. Lightly sand and clean the surface prior to coating. Apply two coats of premium wood varnish to the surface. Look for good UV protection of the products and follow the guidelines of the varnish manufacturer. Calculate service intervals of about 4-5 years, prior to the appearance of visible damage. Follow the processing guidelines of the varnish manufacturer.Storeroom C6573 x 317 cmProfiled siding materialGreen impregnated
