KVH is a designation for technically-dried, continuously bonded, solid spruce wood. The individual wood parts are dried, scanned for flaws, sorted and then weatherproofed by continuous bonding using finger-jointing. Fissures, branches and slight twists reflect the character of the materials used.Colour treatmentThe colour-treated components are coated with a layer of paint at the factory. The coating allows the natural wood grain to remain visible whilst ensuring a uniform surface finish. The components are coated on all sides twice at the factory, after which any excess material is brushed off.Thanks to this factory pre-treatment, the components can be assembled immediately upon delivery. A primer coat prior to assembly is not required. Each kit also includes a quantity of wood stain or paint for touching up cut edges, screw holes or any damage caused during assembly.
