The structure made of solid glued laminated timber (glued laminated timber) made of Nordic spruce combines high load-bearing capacity with dimensionally stable, low-crack components. The natural surface allows individual colour treatment and blends harmoniously into a wide variety of garden and house designs.
Notes on surface treatment:
- Delivery is untreated in colour. A first coat of paint on all sides before assembly is strongly recommended.
- First use a wood protection primer against fungal and insect infestation, followed by an intermediate and final coat of high-quality wood protection glaze or paint.
The robust polycarbonate sheets ensure a pleasant and protected climate under the canopy. They are translucent, stable and have a UV-reflective coating. They are attached using high-quality aluminium profiles with EPDM lip seals, which ensures a reliable and durable design.
The H-anchors made of galvanised flat steel included in the scope of delivery enable secure anchoring in the point foundations to be constructed on site and make a decisive contribution to stability. This means that the terrace roof is ideally prepared for permanent outdoor use.

Construction
The construction is made of glued laminate timber, consisting of several dried layers, attached to one another with finger-jointing. They are glued onto one another for weather-resistance. This results in a load-bearing beam which is more resistant to warping and less prone to fissures than naturally grown wood.
Colour treatment
This kit is supplied untreated in color. This gives you the option to paint the surfaces according to your own design preferences and to match them to their surroundings.
As timber used outdoors is exposed to the elements, a suitable protective coat is recommended. To ensure the treatment is as even as possible, the first coat should be applied to all sides of the timber components before assembly. Suitable wood protection products may be used for this purpose in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
To preserve the appearance of the wood in the long term, regular care and maintenance are advisable. The required maintenance intervals depend, amongst other things, on the location, weather conditions and the chosen coating. Please follow the relevant application and care instructions provided by the manufacturers of the products used.
Roof covering
The roof cladding consists of 16 mm thick polycarbonate multiwall sheets. The upper surface is coated with a UV-reflective layer. These are secured using aluminium profiles with EPDM lip seals.
Bracing
The building kit includes 60 cm-long H-post anchors of galvanized flat steel for embedding in concrete in the site-built deep foundation (for size and lay-out see assembly instructions). They firmly connect the posts to the subsurface to ensure high stability.
