Construction

The construction is made of glued laminate timber, consisting of several dried layers, attached to one another with finger-jointing. They are glued onto one another for weather-resistance. This results in a load-bearing beam which is more resistant to warping and less prone to fissures than naturally grown wood.

Color treatment

This building kit is not treated with color. Wood in outdoor areas is constantly exposed to the elements, such as fungus and insect infestations. Regular application of protective coatings is thus essential. Primer should be applied to all sides prior to assembly. First apply wood primer to protect against fungus and insects.
Then apply an intermediate and a finishing coat of premium wood varnish or paint to protect against color change and damage. Calculate service intervals of about 4-5 years, prior to the appearance of visible damage. Follow the processing guidelines of the varnish manufacturer.

Steel roof covering with anti-condensation coating

The roof cladding is made of galvanised trapezoidal sheet steel. The upper side is polyester-coated in elegant anthracite and not only ensures a modern appearance, but also effectively protects the material from the effects of the weather. The underside is primed and provided with anti-condensation fleece. The coating absorbs moisture from the underside of the metal, preventing it from dripping and also reducing the noise generated by rain and hail.

Thanks to its low thermal expansion, the trapezoidal steel sheet is particularly stable and minimises the risk of deformation, even in the event of extreme temperature fluctuations. The robust design guarantees very high resistance to harsh weather conditions.

Rain gutter

The scope of delivery includes a rain gutter made of galvanised and anthracite-coloured coated metal. The gutter is attached to the carport with sternboard brackets. The gutters are joined together using clamp connectors and the ends are sealed with caps for clamping. Pipes and bends are simply inserted into each other. If gutters or pipes need to be shortened on site, please use a hand saw suitable for steel, not an angle grinder. This will also protect the cut edge from rust.

Would you like a white gutter instead of an anthracite one? No problem. Please make a note of this in your order.

Bracing

The building kit includes 60 cm-long H-post anchors of galvanized flat steel for embedding in concrete in the site-built deep foundation (for size and lay-out see assembly instructions). They firmly connect the posts to the subsurface to ensure high stability.
