The Emsland 402 x 604 cm carport combines a robust structure in a classic design with high-quality roofing and is the ideal solution for protecting vehicles, motorbikes or as a covered parking area. With a comfortable entry height of 350 cm, it is ideal for motorhomes, caravans or large vehicles. The stable structure made of glued laminated timber (glued laminated timber) from Nordic spruce ensures high dimensional stability and low cracking. Thanks to the untreated in colour finish, you have a free choice of surface treatment and can match the carport to your house or surroundings.

Note on surface treatment: The wood is supplied untreated. A first coat of paint on all sides before installation is strongly recommended to protect the component against weathering, fungal and insect infestation. First use a wood protection primer and then apply an intermediate and top coat of high-quality wood protection glaze or paint. Observe the maintenance intervals of approx. 4-5 years and the processing instructions of the glaze manufacturer.

Please follow the assembly instructions for the dimensions of the point foundation and the correct installation of the rain gutter (use a suitable hand saw when shortening to avoid rust forming on the cut edges).

Construction
The construction is made of glued laminate timber, consisting of several dried layers, attached to one another with finger-jointing. They are glued onto one another for weather-resistance. This results in a load-bearing beam which is more resistant to warping and less prone to fissures than naturally grown wood.
Colour treatment
This kit is supplied untreated in color. This gives you the option to paint the surfaces according to your own design preferences and to match them to their surroundings.
As timber used outdoors is exposed to the elements, a suitable protective coat is recommended. To ensure the treatment is as even as possible, the first coat should be applied to all sides of the timber components before assembly. Suitable wood protection products may be used for this purpose in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
To preserve the appearance of the wood in the long term, regular care and maintenance are advisable. The required maintenance intervals depend, amongst other things, on the location, weather conditions and the chosen coating. Please follow the relevant application and care instructions provided by the manufacturers of the products used.
Steel roofing with an anti-condensation coating
The roofing consists of galvanised trapezoidal steel sheeting. The upper surface is finished with a polyester-based coating in anthracite, which emphasises the modern appearance and contributes to the surface’s resistance to weathering. The underside is primed and fitted with an anti-condensation fleece.
The anti-condensation fleece can absorb any moisture that accumulates on the underside of the metal and release it again after a delay. This helps to reduce the formation of dripping condensation. Furthermore, the fleece can reduce the noise perceived during rain or hail.
Trapezoidal steel sheets are characterised by their dimensionally stable structure and are suitable for outdoor use. The galvanised finish, combined with the coating, enhances the longevity of the roofing and makes it a robust solution for a variety of weather conditions.
Rain gutter
The scope of delivery includes a rain gutter made of galvanised and anthracite-coloured coated metal. The gutter is attached to the carport with sternboard brackets. The gutters are joined together using clamp connectors and the ends are sealed with caps for clamping. Pipes and bends are simply inserted into each other. If gutters or pipes need to be shortened on site, please use a hand saw suitable for steel, not an angle grinder. This will also protect the cut edge from rust.
Would you like a white gutter instead of an anthracite one? No problem. Please make a note of this in your order.
Bracing
The building kit includes 60 cm-long H-post anchors of galvanized flat steel for embedding in concrete in the site-built deep foundation (for size and lay-out see assembly instructions). They firmly connect the posts to the subsurface to ensure high stability.
